WV vs. Kentucky and Basketball Legacy

While growing up, it was almost inconceivable that WV might one day overtake UK--basketball has always been embedded in Kentucky culture not unlike it is in Hoosier country. Scouts were even plucking kids out of nearby high schools from where I lived to play in Kentucky and groom them for the Wildcats. Even the high school basketball camps at UK were superior to anything at the surrounding states. The psychological barrier required to beat them is/was intense. Having said that, the Wildcats had more talent last night, but WV's superior defensive tactics account for much of the victory (wish the football team would take note). The Wildcats foul shooting needed some manning up as well.
